Joseph Esry

About Joseph Esry

Joseph joined Parman & Easterday in 2017. He is serving the estate, business, tax, and retirement planning needs of clients in Kansas City. Joseph is dedicated to helping families establish plans tailored to the needs of each individual retirement and financial planning needs of clients by helping people minimize taxes, avoid probate, and prepare for the possibility of future disability or incapacity. He also helps the entrepreneur start, maintain, and continue their business and prepare for the eventual transfer of that business – either through sale or by transfer to family members.

Experience

Joseph started his law career in an appellate practice law firm where he spent time his time researching the law and preparing briefs on complex legal issues. Joseph then spent several years working at a larger law firm doing real estate litigation on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. In addition to his practice, Mr. Esry frequently presents public and private group seminars on estate planning and asset protection topics and educational events to lawyers and financial advisors.

Education

Joseph earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, he has his M.B.A. in finance, and his LL.M. in taxation. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dordt College where he studied political science and business.

Personal

Joseph is a resident of the Kansas City area. Both he and his wife, Rachel, were born and raised in Kansas City. Joseph and Rachel have two kids. Joseph is active in Boy Scouts, enjoys playing soccer, and is a Deacon at Grace Fellowship church. In his free time, he enjoys coffee and working on old homes.
